These documents provide information on SanGIS services, processes, and requirements. They are provided for reference only.

Service Level Policy (SLP)
The Service Level Policy (SLP) defines services that SanGIS provides to its JPA partners - the City of San Diego and the County of San Diego. The SLP outlines methods by which those services are measured and the minimum standard that must be met. The document defines in general terms the roles and responsibilities of the service provider (SanGIS), the end users, and the governing bodies in monitoring and meeting these service levels
Error Reporting Procedures
This document defines the procedures, limitations and requirements for reporting GIS data errors in SanGIS data. See the Contact Us section if you need to report a problem (or just to ask a question).
SanGIS Policies and Procedures Manual
The Policies and Procedures Manual provides detail documentation on how SanGIS enters, edits, and publishes data and provides information on SanGIS' purpose, roles, and responsibilities.

Metadata Standards

SanGIS Metadata Requirements
This is a comprehensive guide to the new SanGIS Minimum Required Metadata Elements, including instructions for creating a metadata template (containing key information common to all datasets within the user's organization) and a detailed step by step guide on metadata creation and editing including examples entries and tips on using the metadata editor.

SanGIS Metadata Quick Reference Guide
A concise two-page list of the minimum required elements within the ISO 19139 metadata standard. Identifies each required element and provides a brief description of what to enter in the field. This summary is intended for experienced users that need a little refresher.

SanGIS Metadata Cheat Sheet
The Cheat Sheet is a concise one-page spreadsheet of the minimum required elements that are not automatically completed by ArcGIS. This sheet shows the location of each element within its group, section and sub-section. Only covers the elements that must be manually entered or edited. Intended for the expert that wants a quick map to the required elements.

Metadata FAQs
A dozen or so Frequently Asked Questions about how the standard was established, how to submit corrections or suggestions, clarifications on certain tricky parts (like contacts), and other useful information.
